In some cases, our retainers and fittings may be slightly different. However, we never compromise on the materials we use. All of our toppings are supplied by the world’s leading companies. They have been extensively tested and evaluated to ensure they meet our high standards. We do not compromise and neither should you!

The original vinyl material for Rolls-Royce, Jaguar and other English vehicles A two-ply composite with a smooth texture PVC outer and a polyester lining. The weight of this material is 36oz. A two-ply composite with a Cabrio Grain texture PVC outer and a polyester lining. The weight of this material is 38oz. A two-ply composite with a Sailcloth Grain texture PVC outer and a polyester lining. The weight of this material is 38oz. CLOTH TOPPING All of our cloth topping materials are constructed using a “three-ply”method that has an acrylic or polyester/acrylic exterior (facing) and a cloth lining (backing). The face material is woven with either a square or twill weave and the backing is either polyester, polyester/cotton or cotton. These materials are combined using an elastomeric or rubber film that is sandwiched between them. This provides waterproofing and gives the material its “stretch.” Increasing the thickness of the rubber film will reduce the amount of noise in the vehicle interior. These thicker toppings are referred to as “Acoustic” and are becoming standard on most new cars.
